NTB announces #videoNepal contest
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) in association with Ekadeshma, the short film festival, announced Naturally Nepal Short Film Competition (#videonepal), organizing a program today.
According to NTB, the #videonepal contest is aimed at the promotion of Nepal’s tourism and products. The contest, where only Nepali nationals are allowed to participate, participants can submit videos up to 7 minutes in length.
Speaking at the program, Deepak Raj Joshi, Chief Executive Officer of NTB said, “The contest is meaningful to acknowledge Nepali filmmakers and give them due space to expose their talent. It will not only give platform to the aspiring filmmakers, but it will also be helpful in promoting Nepal and it’s tourism products.”
He further added, “to encourage the filmmakers and also to attract a large number of participants we have decided to award the cash prize of NRS. 50,000, NRS.40,000 and NRS.30,000 and tour package of 7 night and 8 days worth NRS.70,000 each to the first, second and third prize winners respectively.
The deadline for submitting videos is on December 31, 2017. According to the contest organizers, videos can be submitted in drive/cd at the reception of Nepal Tourism Board or can even be sent through e-mail by making a private video in video sharing platform to nnshortfilmcompetition@gmail.com.
