Nepal participates in Vakantiebeurs 2017
Nepal successfully participated in this years’s Vakantiebeurs travel trade fair held at Utrecht in the Netherlands from 10-15 January, 2017. This is also the first tourism fair Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) participated in any event after the announcement of Nepal- Europe Tourism Year 2017.
According to NTB, the 5 days long fair received inquiries about Nepal’s major products and many of the visitors visiting Nepal Stand were happy to share their experience and memories of Nepal. Organized groups and FIT’s as well showed tremendous interest in visiting Nepal.
An admirer of Nepal, Wim Ven Passel also organized Nepal Photo Exhibition during the fair bearing all the cost.
According to the press release of Nepal Tourism Board, a discussion session was also held on the sidelines of the fair, with NTB HPRRS in the presence of H.E. Lok Bahadur Thapa, Ambassador of Nepal to Belgium. The meeting discussed on strategies and plans to increase the arrival of European tourist by 30% in the year 2017.
The release further states, Ambassador Thapa emphasized on coordination among NTB, Nepal Embassies and Nepali communities abroad for tourism promotional activities in Europe.
Vakantiebeurs is one of the largest tourism event in region with about 1,000 exhibitors and over 120,000 expected visitors. NTB participated in the fair as an exhibitor along with four co-exhibitors, Travel Makers Nepal Pvt. Ltd, Home & Away Travels and Tours Pvt. Ltd., Euro Tours and Travel Pvt. Ltd and Asian Mystery Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd.
Sunil Sharma, Officiating Director, and Santosh Bikram Thapa, Sr. Officer officially represented NTB during the fair.
